Karl Lagerfeld’s Crystal-crazed Chanel Collection F/W 2012/2013

Nothing beats Chanel when it comes to class and prim-and-proper glamour. For a woman whose obsessed with innovation and elegance, no fashion house can rival the booming of Chanel label which is designed by the genius himself, Karl Lagerfeld.

There is also no other fashionista more sophisticatedly dressed than the Chanel girl, whose ultimate goal is to look pretty, sit pretty and strut pretty in fall / winter 2012-2013?s version of the classic Chanel tweedy skirt. Having pants as a basic, KL subtly added a fuller swing to the skirt. Big shouldered jackets and coats also matched up the pants quite well. Definitely not a 40?s padded shoulder style, the look is more of a figured expansion to the original shoulder line. Considering the expansion, it gives out a double-sleeve effect. Layering evidently stayed a fashionable styling technique in images of hipster looks next to the traditional Chanel jacket-plus-skirt suit. Each model started off in pants that came out with lean leggings styles, ending right over the ankle. Other pants ballooned as dainty sweats for a bit of sporty couture. Cover-ups went from usual to special such as fine bomber jackets and primped up parkas. Eveningwear turned those pants into sexy, less active pieces like designs with flimsy fabrics that have steel stripes, as well as tunics created with stupendously shaded metallic-foil cloths. Lagerfeld also had enchantingly intricate embroidered uptight feathers sliced into cute troches and made in 3D gathers.

Aside from feathery appliqu?s, Lagerfeld materialized accoutrement ideas into crystal embellishments placed on the pieces in his collection. Gigantic amounts of fumy quartz and lady-like amethyst, emerging from dust-like gems set the atmosphere for Chanel. Minerals were the main course of the banquet. Geometric patterns of triangular items in colorful fabric were set as breastplates on a black frock. Fur had no chance of being absent at the Chanel show as dark, sheared types were sewn into Japanese-inspired patches. Minerals shone on cuffs and sturdy neckpieces, and functioned as accessory to add some glitz on the edges of a sleeve, a button, or a badge on the shoulder.

Colors, as important as they are, took over the geometric details and stood out on knitted garments in dull-turned-dashing maures, mustards and teal greens. Stones were complete stunners in shimmering grays, luxurious golds, exotic bronzes, hardcore sulphur, cool lapis lazulis and grand emeralds. Not to forget Lagerfeld?s newest contribution to Paris fashion week, the three piece style which consists of a jacket, a frock over pants, and a ?pantacoat ?, an absolute piece with legs that unzip to turn into a coat, the collection identifies its kind among the science fiction-driven lot. But his display of crystal-crazed clothes and blings make Chanel?s fall / winter 2012-2013 range, the fiercest.
