Lindsay Lohan: An Edge to Courtroom Fashion

The things a stylish outfit can do. Behind those mostly black-and-white pieces that Lindsay Lohan wore to her court hearings is a defense mechanism in the midst of a monochromatic environment itself where the untamable paparazzi, news-thirsty public, firm-and-formal court members seem to be clawing at her. The scenes depict her own song Rumors, where the media can?t wait to take a piece or a shot of that get-that-camera-away-from-my-face look, or that image with no make up on but just about enough guts gathered to walk into that courtroom where she doesn?t get to say anything about her fate because only the so-called ?justice league? do.

In Gossip Girl, Manhattan socialite Lily has her hair done before having her mug shots taken. Paris Hilton wears the same unambiguous ensembles, careful not to invite criticism but people claiming to have authorities in fashion judge her get-ups couldn?t just help themselves. Lily in her perfect hair, and makeup and Paris in her tinted shades, don?t differ much to Lindsay Lohan?s situation. Court or no court, a young, famous Hollywood royalty has to maintain her fashion icon status. Clothes aren?t simply stuff you put on. How they are combined together either reveals one?s personality, or disguises, or conceals emotions. Sometimes she shows a bit of skin, at other times, she covers up, but always ramped in a pair of black stilettos.

These are the hard moments which the talented actress has surely seen as the consequences of her actions. The press doesn?t make it easier either, but she tries to get back into the game anyway, by landing a hosting gig at Saturday Night Live on March 3. Without any backing from her mother, TMZ.com reports, Lohan reached out to SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels, whom she allegedly sees as a father figure, and was granted her fourth time on the show, and her first since 2006.

Who would?ve guessed that Lohan, with an award winning potential and unforgettable films like Disney?s Parent Trap, chick flick Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, could one day lose a starring role like playing legendary porn star Linda Lovelace for Lovelace, due to, probably, her troubles with the law.
Already prone to controversy, the Herbie star posed naked for Playboy?s November spread in Marilyn Monroe-inspired photos, followed by four Polaroid photos that Domingo Zapata took of Lohan containing that PG-13 artwork that sold for more than $100,000, which The New York Post believes to have been bought by a prominent British collector through the Hus Gallery.
However, she is one of the actresses being considered for the role of playing Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming biopic Liz and Dick. She?d better straighten up and take action before Megan Fox gets it.
