A well known Fashion Photographer I would like to write about briefly is?David LaChapelle.
His Photographs work like Art and he can make a Photograph look like a surreal painting, and probably one of the best in the world in doing so. As a Fashion Photographer he carries this style very well and have been ever since he started Photographing in the 1980’s in New York City.
Most Photographers and Fashion Photographers like to see real moments of life, and due to this wish they become very sensitive while waiting for the perfect moment to Photograph and living in the surreal moments at the same time. David LaChapelle has written many books on Art, Photography and the people who are living in the attractions of it all. In these he gives people a description of what it might be to live as an Artist and/or Photographer.
Overall, he is very tasteful and skilled.?David LaChapelle works with set designers, Art Directors and Make-Up Artist on set. His flamboyance and personality makes him a professional at getting good results from the editor and lighting crew, and the communication with the Art Director in what lines and what structures should be coming through for the appropriate Season, Magazine issue spread and Ad-Campaigns.
In my own worlds: Just like the Photographer’s take much out of their Models, the Models also take much out of the Photographer, to create a communication that is strong between the Model and the Photographer, even if the Model is mostly speaking to audience, the Photographer already knows the audience ahead of time to be able to create a strong communication with the Model. You can’t see his eyes until before and after the Photograph is taken, and that is the beauty of it.
