Fashion Model Devon Aoki

Born August 10th, 1982 in New York City, New York.

Being another rare case of 5’6 ft tall Model, Devon Aoki was taken under Kate Moss wing by her God mother after being discovered at a concert in New York City when 13. She got signed with Storm Modeling agency at 14, where she became the new face for Versace. The previous face of Versace was Super Model Naomi Campbell, until Devon got signed.

The classic, petite and graceful model has worked for Versace, Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Baby Phat and more. Het talents and wide variety of options in entertainment got her gigs in Music Videos for Elton John, Duran Duran, Primal Screams, Ginuwine and Ludacris.

Her career went even further after a lot of experience with variety of gigs, minimal mistakes and modern day sex appeal. She played in Hollywood Movies such as 2 Fast 2 Furious, Sin City, Dead or Alive, D.E.B.S and War.

After many of gigs in a fast paced industry, she joined L.A’s International Creative Management for representation. She also worked with Richie Akiva’s record label, and designed for Levi’s Jeans.

The ?real life super hero woman and top model? got the most out of her career and her imagination took her further in to her talents. It is a great success when a Super Model can be flexible in her career, but to not forget she learned from Kate Moss who dared to take the dark and struggling road, so that somebody like Devon Aoki could show that a Super Model can and is able to learn fast and contribute imagination, ideas and capability, rather than just her looks. A model might not have the perfect life ? but they do have perfect images to inspire a life of grace and power for females.

The competitive world of Models continues on being a difficult career path, with very little promises of a guaranteed future. Having so much so fast, it still is a gamble. So taking in all you can learn to expand like Devon Aoki did is something that also comes with the luck of getting ahead of other smaller women and still reaching the top – realizing there is no turning back after something as ?unfair? as that, but still represented more power to women for being an exception amongst women and models.

Here is a photo collection with my favorite pictures of her.
