Fashion Photographers – Artists behind Camera

Fashion Model
Fashion Photography by Los Angeles Fashion Photographer Shaun Alexander

It amazes me that the camera is an existing toy or tool to capture the in-front-of-us scenarios.

The first camera made was intended for capturing a moment quick enough, especially at the civil war. These are very intense moments but the camera works to justify the intentions and expressions when letting oneself in for war, even though this is a natural fear.

The camera is used by Photographers for various reasons today. My topic is Fashion photography, and the Camera holder works like an Artist, due to finding the perfect picture from the Model. You might ask yourself, ?if the model already looks gorgeous, then the item she is wearing is carried good enough?. This is not true, due to the item being more than just material. It is a statement and an expression in itself, although it is not a living being. If the material is raw, the Model might carry the item with an attitude that makes the material look more alive. The Model needs to awaken the item/items she/he is wearing, and pay attention to props around herself/himself and whatever attitude the Model chooses to represent the props and items with need to work as a collaboration. Almost as if she/he owns that set, and that she/he had been somewhere important with those clothes, or that she/he is going somewhere or becoming something great together with the set, design, props and the material/items on her/his body.

The Fashion Photographer needs to find the picture that looks the most modern out of all, as if you just looked through the neighbors window and caught a beautiful person looking at her/himself in the mirror, but at the same time the Model needs to carry her/his body in a disciplined fashion.

A lot of good Photographers start off by Photographing in the public. Looking for their style in nature and in the city where they would like to believe their future Models have seen or walked by. Every Photograph taken creates a style, because even if the name of the street or the country of the nature is not addressed in the picture, it can be given a feel by the Photographer’s choice of retouching and angling the camera. Focus is important, and where the focus is meant to be in the picture. This creates a demand by the Photographer for his/her future viewers.
